3 generations of Robins'

Posted By: JJ

This morning I had my good friend Austin Robins and his dad Mark and his nephew Bryce, all from Gloucester, Va. Their family and mine have been close friends for many years and I played ball with Austin's uncle and for his grandfather all through my school years. These are great folks and we had an awesome time on a pretty morning. We hit the flats early and enjoyed a pick that became a flurry and then subsided back to a pick. We caught triples, doubles and a lot of single fish. They were of mixed up size but I know we had at least a dozen to 15 nice keeper size fish, but today we decided to let them all go. Pretty cool. I love eating them and stacking them up but it is very satisfying to get them good and return them back to the sound as well. The guys enjoyed their time together and young Bryce caught his share too. We caught over 25 fish all said and went scouting after the boats piled in on us. The breeze and wraparound swell made it tough to fish many places so we headed on in around 9:45 and called it a good day...
