Had a group of guys from my hometown today that were in town to celebrate an upcoming wedding. Mike, Tom, Derek and Chuckie joined me for an 8 hour excursion that began sunny and slick calm and ended up overcast and breezy. Such is the OBX...We covered a lot of ground, fished hard and changed things up a lot. We scrapped it out until we came up with our limit of nice keepers. We caught upwards of 60 speckled trout today and some other species as well. These guys were onto it with the rod and I had a blast just fishing with them and watching them have a good time. It always seems like the groups that are going to enjoy themselves regardless, often experience some of the best action...Today was by far the best numbers of fish we have seen this season and these guys had a day full of it. Thanks a bunch for fishing with me and I look forward to bumping into y'all when I'm back home. I hope you guys had a good time! Tom, best wishes on the wedding Saturday, I'm sure the Ware River Yacht Club will be rockin'. Y'all behave and thanks again...
