Saturdays group woosed out last minute on Friday so Brady and I went ahead and filled their spot. Things have been changing on the flats lately so I really wanted to burn some fuel and find some new territory for the upcoming trips. Well, the weather looked as if it would rain all day but it was mirror calm and everything seemed to stay on a line just south of us. (Sometimes you just show up and GO)Anyway, we decided to just slip out front and start while a few darker clouds passed by to the southern. Man as soon as the first bait hit the water it was on! We didn't even move but one time about 50 yards and caught 27 specks in an hour and a half. We kept our limit and invited some friends over for a real dinner while the girls were away. Fried trout and trout roe, mashed redskin potatoes, Caesar salad, corn muffins and reef cakes! Thanks for the dinner guys, sorry you didn't get the invite...
